Bien qu&rsquo;elle n&rsquo;ait pas \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ue comme un test de l&rsquo;\u00e9volution, une nouvelle d\u00e9couverte de la recherche sur le cancer met en p\u00e9ril ces hypoth\u00e8ses \u00e9volutionnistes infond\u00e9es.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;\"><br clear=\"all\" \/>Alors que les cellules du corps se divisent, elles copient des milliards de \u00ab\u00a0lettres\u00a0\u00bb de l&rsquo;ADN qui codent la construction cellulaire et les protocoles d&rsquo;entretien, y compris les codes qui construisent de nouvelles prot\u00e9ines. Cependant, les scientifiques de l&rsquo;Institute of Cancer Research \u00e0 Londres ont r\u00e9cemment publi\u00e9 de nouvelles d\u00e9couvertes dans<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-style: italic; font-size: 12pt; color: gray;\"> Nature Communications<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;\"> montrant que des mutations dans l&rsquo;ADN trouv\u00e9es loin de ces g\u00e8nes de croissance cellulaire peuvent aussi aider \u00e0 provoquer cancer.1<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;\"><br clear=\"all\" \/>Une communication de l&rsquo;Institute of Cancer Research d\u00e9clare, \u00ab\u00a0Des variations g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques d&rsquo;une seule lettre au sein des parties du g\u00e9nome consid\u00e9r\u00e9es auparavant comme de \u00ab\u00a0l&rsquo;ADN poubelle\u00a0\u00bb peuvent augmenter le risque de cancer par des effets \u00ab\u00a0semblables \u00e0 un trou de ver\u00a0\u00bb sur des g\u00e8nes \u00e9loign\u00e9s.\u00a0\u00bb2 En d&rsquo;autres termes, les mutations se produisent dans des s\u00e9quences <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;\">d&rsquo;ADN ne se trouvant pas \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 des g\u00e8nes de croissance cellulaire, et pourtant influent sur la croissance cellulaire. Si les s\u00e9quences \u00e9taient vraiment inutiles, ainsi que les scientifiques s\u00e9culiers l&rsquo;ont auparavant maintenu, alors les mutations n&rsquo;y causeraient pas le cancer. Au lieu de cela, il semble que cet ADN \u00e9loign\u00e9 r\u00e9gule les processus cellulaires sans coder pour des prot\u00e9ines.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;\"><br clear=\"all\" \/>Similaire \u00e0 l&rsquo;ADN \u00e9loign\u00e9, l&rsquo;ADN appel\u00e9 <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-style: italic; font-size: 12pt; color: gray;\">pseudog\u00e8nes <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;\">fut \u00e9galement consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme rebut sans objet. Mais les mutations qu&rsquo;on y trouve contribuent aussi au cancer, montrant qu&rsquo;ils ne sont pas des rebuts mais en fait affectent les fonctions vitales du corps.3 Maintenant, des \u00e9tudes confirment que la quasi-totalit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;ADN est utilis\u00e9e pour certaines t\u00e2ches, dans certains tissus, \u00e0 un moment donn\u00e9 au cours de la vie d&rsquo;une cr\u00e9ature.4<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;\"><br clear=\"all\" \/>Cela devrait constituer de mauvaises nouvelles pour un m\u00e9canisme assez populaire pens\u00e9 faciliter l&rsquo;\u00e9volution. Suppos\u00e9ment, le progr\u00e8s \u00e9volutif tire b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie des mutations qui modifient l&rsquo;ADN poubelle sans endommager son organisme. Finalement, un nouveau g\u00e8ne, utile, \u00e9merge accidentellement et s&rsquo;int\u00e8gre dans le processus de croissance de la cr\u00e9ature, ajoutant un nouveau trait sur lequel la s\u00e9lection naturelle peut agir avantageusement. Mais cette nouvelle recherche r\u00e9v\u00e8le ce que les autres ont trouv\u00e9 &#8211; qu&rsquo;une tr\u00e8s petite quantit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;ADN, le cas \u00e9ch\u00e9ant, est en fait \u00ab\u00a0poubelle\u00a0\u00bb. Et sans ADN poubelle pour muter sans r\u00e9percussion, la plupart des mutations endommagent l&rsquo;ADN effectivement utile. Comment cela aide t-il une \u00e9ponge \u00e0 \u00e9voluer en un marlin?<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;\"><br clear=\"all\" \/>Les g\u00e9n\u00e9ticiens confirment sans cesse que les mutations ajoutent rarement, sinon jamais, une nouvelle et utile programmation g\u00e9n\u00e9tique. Au lieu de cela, les scientifiques observent des mutations responsables de maladies. O\u00f9 est la preuve des \u00ab\u00a0mutations b\u00e9n\u00e9fiques\u00a0\u00bb de l&rsquo;\u00e9volution? Elle n\u2019apparait certainement pas dans cette recherche sur le cancer.
